Sarah Schuhl specializes in professional learning communities, mathematics, common formative and summative assessment, school improvement, and RTI. She has been a secondary mathematics teacher, high school instructional coach, and K–12 mathematics specialist for more than 20 years.
Sarah was instrumental in the creation of a PLC in the Centennial School District in Oregon, helping teachers make large gains in student achievement. She earned the Centennial School District Triple C Award in 2012.
Mona Toncheff, an education consultant and author, has over 30 years of experience in public education. She worked as both a mathematics teacher and specialist for the Phoenix Union High School District in Arizona, where she provided professional development to high school teachers and administrators. She currently serves as a supervisor teacher for the University of Arizona Teach Program.
Mona works with educators and leaders nationwide to build collaborative teams, empowering them with strategies for aligning curriculum, instruction, and assessment as part of high-quality instruction. Mona is the past president of NCSM and is a co-founding board member and president of Arizona Mathematics Leaders.
